It should have never been built up to that scale. It should have remained a sandbar and natural preserve area. Open with parks and recreational areas, only. Not meant for public housing living..ON SUCH A LARGE SCALE. RESIDENTS SHOULD HAVE REMAINED AT MINIMUM. AND EVEN THOSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUILT HIGHER EITHER BRINGING IN MORE GROUND OR PUTTING THEM ON SOME TYPE OF STILT PLATFORM. THE PROBLEM IS ANYTIME. THERE'S A MAJOR STORM THAT BRINGS RAIN.IN OR EVEN THE OCEAN ONTO SHORE, THE ISLAND SINKS OR BECOMES SUBMERGED. THIS WILL BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM THAT WILL NEVER , EVER END. THE ONLY END IN SIGHT IS THE END OF THE ISLAND BEING COMPLETELY TOTALLY SUBMERGED AND WIPED OUT BECOMING ONCE AGAIN , NOTHING MORE THAN A SANDBAR.

8 million Star Island was quoted a $200 million bid to make the adjustments to the island. Wouldn't flood all the time. 8 million was just the down payment to get their recommendations
