People have been electrocuted in Thailand walking in flooded areas. Considering some of the wiring around I would be very careful.

Not sure it is such a good idea walking through that water. Even the smallest knick or break in your skin could become infected with some really nasty bacteria.

I was caught in the terrible floods in Chiang Mai about two years ago. My heart goes out to the people of Bangkok andf Pattaya.

Stay away from the electrical cable dude! Some have died already from loose cables touching the water. Stay safe out there.

Parts of Bangkok are already below sea level so natural drainage takes a long time. It can only get worse when more of the city sinks.

The real reason that Bangkok is flooding is two fold. Ground water has been extracted from under bangkok for many years. The whole city is subsiding as the ground is sinking into the collapsing aquifer. Also most of the canals have been reclaimed for more roads and high-rise buildings. Now the water has less paths to the sea.
