I am 71 years old now and listening over 55 years to my favourite band YES.<br>TFTO is the album I choose when I am allowed to listen to only one album the rest of my life. And there is no single note I want to miss. For me the best album ever by anyone. ❤

I absolutely love Topographic Oceans - every minute of it. It&apos;s not 1 second too long

Tales from Topographic Oceans gets better and better and better. &nbsp; When I first got into Yes in the mid seventies while in high school it was Relayer, Close to the Edge and Fragile. &nbsp; We didn’t pay attention to Tales. &nbsp; But as the years passed it started growing on me. &nbsp; Now it’s up there at the top.

Love Rick, speaks as he finds and very interesting, could listen to him all day.

In the now 5 decades worth of written lore about Tales from Topographic Oceans, we always are reminded that Rick didn’t like it. True that he didn’t care for it at the time, but that is not the fact of the album; that is just Rick’s opinion. Why can’t we place equal importance on what the other band members thought? Chris has said that he thinks the album showed that Yes were a band that was willing to dare to make something out of the ordinary, and thus the album helped their reputation. There are plenty of rock albums with tight, short, energetic songs. With Tales, Yes gave us something else. I for one am glad they did.

I first heard TfTO when I was 14... I was absolutely mesmerised... Now I&apos;m 65, and every minute is still magic...

I&apos;ve always loved it, still do. The most important is that Yes were ambitious, they took chances, they went for it. They should NEVER be criticised for that. Wasn&apos;t it called progessive for a reason??

Rick is a fantastic bloke who found his way in life and forged a legacy too.

Ironically, TFTO contains IMHO some of Rick’s best playing with the band. Glorious.

I do believe that Rick is what it is for a lot of his fans because of Tales, specially TheRemembering. With that song Yes and himself, trascended “spacetime” and they created something we ever heard again. I always continued Rick’s career waiting for a climax he obtained there but he never reached again something like that

People either hate it or they love it. Personally, I love it, all four sides. I listen to it often in its entirety. Loud!

The album is just great, if anything I’d have liked the tracks to be longer. But I respect Rick massively, he gives his very best whatever his own personal taste.
