  I'm in my latter 60's now. I vividly remember buying TFTO when it first came out. Stuffed my hard earned paper route earnings into my pocket and pedaled my bike to the record store in town.  To this day, it's on my list of 10 albums I'm taking into the afterlife.

  I think The Ancient is the most under-appreciated fusion tunes ever. WAY ahead of its time. TFTO is one of my absolute favorite albums ever.

  The mistake many reviewers make with Tales from Topographic Oceans is that they review it on one listen. You have to listen to it several times to really appreciate the album. The musicianship is sublime.

  That is a sexy box. I can't afford to  buy all these remixes and deluxe editions. But I am glad they are out there.

  I avoided Topo for years, I'd listened to-and read all the negativity and was always intimidated by it's magnitude BUT I found a deal on Amazon about 5 years ago and got the double cd remaster. It changed my entire opinion of Topo and I took to it immediately!!! Side three is still a bit of a challenge but as a whole-I love it!!! Don't believe everything you read, investigate it for yourself-it could actually change your musical landscape. Probably going to gets this one.

  As you mentioned, Rick Wakeman (despite his known displeasure of ‘Tales’) is absolutely brilliant throughout ALL of Topographic Oceans. He adds ultra-tasteful atmospheric nuances and subtleties which absolutely shine on this epic Yes tour de force masterpiece.

  Jon Anderson described TFTO as a meeting of high ideals and low energy. &nbsp;He&apos;s not wrong, despite some sublime moments from Steve Howe doing those trademark Steve Howe things.

  Tales came out when I was a senior in High school. I play it still to this day.<br>All four sides are some of the best peace &amp; love music recordings ever heard. <br>Close To the Edge is my all-time favorite album. &apos;&apos;And You and I&apos;&apos; holds my heart
