My sister in law moved into a wattle and daub thatched house in Cambridgeshire in the early 1980s, I remember seeing straw poking out of a daub wall which must have been there for centuries.

I can tell you from experience that a good sheepskin is incredibly warm, probably warmer then the fancy furs of the nobles.

Я в зоне на строгом режиме так спал в бараке. Батареи еле были тёплыми , на подоконниках лёд... В ушанке спал 😊 2000 г. Красноярский край
