During the Duel with Yugi and Kaiba, The reason why spells could be activated on their opponents turn even though they weren't quick-play spells was because on Kaiba's first turn he activated Spell Sanctuary, which allows them to add 1 spell card to their hand and has the continuous effect allowing them to activate spell cards on their opponents turn. The English dub decided this wasn't an important detail to mention for some reason but it was mentioned in the Japanese dub.

To be fair, you need a very high IQ to understand how Pot of Greed works.

Ironically in the manga when Joey faces Espa Roba near the beginning of battle city he says “his deck is a gambling deck, it’s almost all luck based cards!!” Yeah that’s as true as you get.

Next time when my opponent attacks me for game, I'm just going to make really loud noises so his monsters can not hear his command.

My favourite line from Kaiba in the entire anime is the "Well that was a total waste of my time" when he's talking about the Noah/Gozuboro arc. It's probably the only time the entire fan base collectively sighed and went... Yep

To be fair, "Evil Thingy" does sound like something the TCG would name a card. We already have "Magical Something".
