A Benford dumper. The company was based in Warwick and my sister was a typist there for a few years. Thwaites dumpers were actually made in our home village.

🎉I had one in exactly the same colour JHG779S 1978, fitted with Cibie Super Oscars, and later RS2000 engine, ran it for 6 years and loved it, what a blast ! Sold it for £1700 in 1987 ! Wow ! Even called it my yellow peril !

I went to look at an immaculate Mexico MkII with a 2000 engine in it when I had just passed my test in 1984. Car was about £2000 from memory, it was a very memorable experience. Unfortunately I could afford it so left it, someone bought it soon after, got a mile down the road and wrote it off.
