  Babe Ruth: a mythical figure in American history. When I grew up we had NO TV, NO CELL PHONES, AND NO INTERNET. We, the legions of neighborhood kids, used to play a baseball like game called “500” and we waited with anticipation for the day when we could play “BABE RUTH” BASEBALL! The World Series was a huge deal. WE LOVED THE BABE RUTH LEGEND! I enjoyed this documentary!

  My mom was a TWA stewardess and met Babe on a flight.  She said he was a very kind and polite person.  Gave her two signed TWA post cards that the airlines used to give to flyers. Seems he was well liked and approachable to fans.

  June 21, 2025 / Only once have I seen a film clip of Babe's swing projected at the  right speed or slower. If you can see that, you realize what beautiful coordination he had and what tremendous power he had. [end]

  Four minutes into this and this lifelong Pirates fan is crying their eyes out.  My all-time favorite player, George Herman Ruth.  I absolutely love this man for what he meant to so many.  How he impacted American society and sport like no one before or since.  I'd go back today 100 years if I could.  Thanks for posting this on the Greatest player the game will ever know.

  I like how when they talk about Babe&apos;s 60 homer season they talk about Mac, Sosa and Bonds and don&apos;t mention Maris. Over a half a century later and a Yankee like Maris is still catching strays.

  My dream is to meet Babe Ruth. My favorite players growing up are Dave Winfield Rickey Henderson Don Mattingly. But if I could I’d die to meet #3.
