This animated series is the best “I’m sorry” gift from a studio hands down

Personally I think this series alone had the best new monster designs than any other era of Godzilla

I saw all these monsters in the animated series and realized they actually served as an homage to the old school Kaiju as seen in the 1954-1975 films.

If I remember correctly the studio didn’t want to have to negotiate with Toho for the rights to use other monsters in their show, so they revamped several of them into beasties. Quetzalcoatl is clearly based off of Rodman.

It seems Legendary is taking inspiration from some of the designs of the monsters in this series. Just look at Camazotz and Nozuki.

At least he was immune to conventional military weapons as a full grown adult.

The fact that it's 2020 and we're still talking about this incarnation of the G-man is a testament to how amazing this show is and it's contribution to the franchise. We can say Zilla Jr. is not the real Godzilla all we want. But there's no denying it. Junior earned the name. A worthy successor to the King.
