The 2005 king kong skull island is for me so much scarier than the 2017 one

Also, to be fair, Jack Black was the most dangerous thing in that cavern.

This is probably my favorite interpretation of skull island, cuz it’s packed with so much lore, detail and creatures that it makes skull island feel like a real place. The island has this otherworldly, creepy vibe to it that makes it so unique amongst the other skull islands we had before and since. I especially love the creatures and how terrifying and how inaccurate they are to science, my favorites are the V. rex, the Piranhadon, the Worm creatures and the Venatosaurus. One last thing: the art book is an awesome addition too, since it greatly expands on the island and includes way more creatures than the ones we saw in the movie, I hope they do the same thing for the monsterverse with GvK.

Am I the only one who thinks Peter Jackson's skull island is more terrifying and mysterious.

The abyssal chasms has to be the most terrifying shithole ever seen in cinema.

Fun Fact: Andy Serkis (Lumpy) did not know what the worms look like until he saw the opening day of the film to which he reacted with laughter

This island feels so much more lived in and densely populated with creatures than the 2017 one. While I do like the 2017 Kong, it’s funny that Skull Island had so much more character and depth in the film that didn’t have Skull Island in the name. There’s like... ten different animals we see in Kong: Skull Island. There’s like ten different animals we just see in the background in single scenes in the 05 King Kong.

It serves as a testament to Kong's strength, intelligence, and fighting prowess that he manages to stay alive with all these mean mothers sharing his home island.

The creatures explored in this video actually represent only a small fraction of all if the magnificent animals on Peter Jackson’s skull island, there’s a rare book that details every single creature living on the island, and there are more than 100. Each creature lives in a certain area of skull island, i.e. the crumbling coast, the shrinking lowlands, the winding swamps and waterways, the steaming jungle, the abyssal chasms, and the barren uplands
