For all the Bob Dylan haters in here.
I don't think Bob was being rude.
Bob is a painfully shy person.
That's why he was all business when passing Billy on the way to the stage.
That's why he didn't want to get into meeting Billy's band.
All the gushing and being in awe can be awkward for the one who it's aimed at.
That's why he didn't really interact with Billy much; just the bare minimum.
That's why he likes letters.
He wrote Billy a letter to say thanks.
Bob has always kept interactions with others outwith his immediate circle to a bare minimum.
Or else everyone would have a Bob story to tell.
He doesn't want hero worship. It's awkward and he's shy.
That's my two cents.

What impresses me most about Billy is that he’s as humble as he is talented.

Dylan is a living legend, when he’s gone we will never see his kind again. Willie is right up there too. You are walking among giants.

I love Bob Dylan stories. They never disappoint. Everything Bob does is unexpected and never ordinary. From his music to a simple personal encounter.

OF COURSE Dylan would be the one to bring you onstage when you're baked out of your mind. He was always good at catching people off guard, that's part of Bob's legend

This is just SO cool! Loved Billy's story! And having Bob Dylan say he's going to be around for a long, long time is the highest compliment!

The pressure this dude felt had to be insane. Yet, he's calm as hell describing it.

Dang, Billy is such a poet at heart. Deep cat. And what a great example of being in the moment. Love this guy.

The more I hear stories about people meeting Bob, the more convinced I become that he’s genuinely from another realm.
