  Wow!! That’s a lot of people!!   I recently discovered there’s a mod out there that goes out of its way to highlight Kris’s pronouns in red, just to remind the player that they’re nonbinary.

  The idea of this friend group also being queer solidarity REALLY hits different. Deltarune says a lot about the escapism of gay teenagers in a small town and damn that&apos;s really resonant.

  Genuinely, if Kris DID go by either just he/him or she/her, I&apos;m certain that almost NOONE in the fandom would misgender them as much as they already do. It&apos;s only a problem to them when the character uses they/them lmao, and its infuriating. Like, you can name Sunny in OMORI whatever you want, and yet noone argues to refere to Sunny by anything other than he/him. I honestly believe it&apos;s because people don&apos;t actually want to put in the effort to acknowledge a non binary character. &lt;3<br><br>Wonderful video!! So nice to see someone talk about this in a calmer way than i could. Also, I spy ISAT in this video 👀, i mean look at my pfp lol.

  &quot;Kris just does this sometimes&quot; Toriel is NOT talking about ripping their SOUL out, she is talking about them being kinda weird and antisocial and spending too long in the bathroom. Like how she assumes Kris is flushing a bath bomb down the toilet again if you flush too many times. I absolutely 100% refuse to believe Toriel has any idea what is going on in the bathroom, the entire point of Kris leaving the water running is to drown out the noise of it.<br><br>Good video, though! Really neat insight into a lot of things I agree with but am not personally able to articulate so nicely.

  Kris could speak for the first time free of player control and say &quot;I am nonbinary and go by they/them&quot; and people would still misgender them

  I get so annoyed when people whine about how Kris being nonbinary isn&apos;t &quot;necessary&quot; or how Deltarune doesn&apos;t need &quot;forced representation&quot; because it basically comes across as internalized (or explicit) bigotry and people being uncomfortable with a narrative not being about &quot;them&quot; or not being &quot;relatable,&quot; when queer audiences have had to connect to narratives that exclude them for basically as long as stories have existed, so... yeah. :U Good stuff.
