The reason you didnt get any warning on launch is that the real life SA-10 has a "stealthy" launch meaning theres no difference between the lock and launch signals from its radar. For this reason its one of the most dangerous cold war SAM systems

Ouch! It hurt when that P-3 got hit. That was my office for 20 years. And the game did a good job recreating those mulch-red decks on the Soviet surface combatants.

I had the pleasure of sailing alongside the USS Iowa a few times in the eighties when I was in the Dutch navy. I remember feeling the pressure waves when she was firing her mighty 16-inch turrets 2NM in front of us!

Damn, it’s nice to see them actually adding an airfield for the player. From what I remember, initially all you could do is hope that your first wave of ASMs slow down/stop Soviet formation, otherwise it would be just Tom and Jerry moment of you trying to catch up and failing, cause the reds aren’t really slower than you

When it comes to cluster bombs, the lower the altitude the better. Typically somewhere between 500 and 3000 feet. The higher you release, the lower the chance of success.
