  As the daughter of a man, my dad was emotionally unavailable and abusive. I saw his heart and was his only kid who stuck by him until he died. I miss him.

  He suffered both mother and father wound. He never liked talking his parents like a plague and when his father died, he didn't cry instead he just went about his day like nothing happened. He doesn't even have 1 photo of his parents in his home or phone and avoids talking about them totally. We have a 3 year old son and he has never introduced our son to his mother. I had enough and walked away.  He always called me Mummy not by my name and I found it disgusting and told him to stop because am not his mother

  Thanks so very much for explaining all of these family dynamics. I am trying to understand narcissism, schizophrenia and ADHD being  developed in the family structure because of the mother and father relationship with each other and the children.

  so so sad when a man... husband.. after 30 years... pours his father wound into our relationship, and cuts me down, my flower time and time again. stonewalling,,,, traumatised self reared its ugly head... so devastating to see this unfold and sabotage our marriage and the unwillingness to grow up and maintain his kingship... hope he can heal and grow and self reflect

  😢 I am leaving an extended five year relationship for this very reason due to the fact he has no interest whatsoever to fixing himself is the only way we could have resolved this situation but he is committed to being stuck with his pain and projecting his own trauma to me and I have officially accepted his decision not to grow and I will release him to his own truth knowing I have tried to do everything I was supposed to but honestly I am definitely saddened by the fact he has so much pain and even more potential to be delivered from this situation but he refuses to accept the reality of his life being so different from his perspective and he honestly isn’t strong enough to allow himself to begin this process❤

  These same things happen within a woman as well with a father wound 😢 but in my case, I over gave, people pleased, gave too much love, and at times was a doormat and codependent. My self esteem and identity were destroyed. I am rebuilding and healing myself now. ❤
