  The very first movie i ever saw. From age 3, i learned how to work a VCR and would play both this and Tim Burton’s original constantly, to the point of having the entire opening to the VHS memorized by heart. I acknowledge this movies flaws, but it truly sparked my lifelong passion for film and for the character of Batman himself. Release the Schumacher Cut and R.I.P. Val Kilmer.

  The amount of times I watched this film as a kid was unhealthy. Val was my Batman. Schumacher's neon-drenched Gotham really did a number on influencing my aesthetic palette. The soundtrack is still brilliant.

  I became a snob to this film and hated it for years but after a while it grew on me. The production design is just next level incredible still.

  This movie has my favourite version of Gotham City we’ve ever had on screen. I love the mash up of architectural styles, the surreal layout that doesn’t make sense, and the neon which at the time invoked the seediest parts of cities. Gotham should feel like a nightmare and have a design based in dream logic imo. This movie nails that.

  To this day, as well as the Schumacher cut, I’ve always wanted a full version of “the real game begins” song used in the video game commercials lol

  I'm 36 from Italy. I'm proud to tell I came back many times on this one, it was a terrific movie at the time, I remember many grown-ups I knew just couldn't wait to see it, also actors and comedians from TV shows mentioning it with some hype. As a teenager, I found the cutted scenes very interesting, and I greatly appreciated the giant bat reference (at least I think it was a reference from Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns"). You know, r.i.p. Val Kilmer, great actor (I watched, among others, "Top Secret!" and I just love it) and damn good Batman, but Chris O'Donnell will always be my definitive Robin. This movie aged pretty well, I think it's still inspiring; flaws are obviously inevitable, but it's like when you watch a... younger version of yourself.   Man this really took me back. My grandma took my cousin and I to go see this in theaters when we were 10. I still have my McDonald's riddler mug.
