I'm afraid I have to disagree with one statement. Your videos absolutely are some of the most exciting on the Internet. ;-)

A great book satirizing this myth is Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco. There's a quote there that goes something like "Every lunatic will eventually bring up the templars"

Fun fact for the Assassin's Creed fans (of which I am of course one): one popular (though doubtful) etymology proposed for "Baphomet" in the mid 20th century is that it comes from the Arabic "Abufihamat" which means "Father of Understanding."

If you want to see my video on the historical Templars, check it out here: https://youtu.be/M6CNElP3dds?si=jJtBInQGKehVlj1W

Wonderfully done! You make the tracing of any story, true or fanciful, a delight to follow. I am careful to comment often, in hopes that "the algorithm" will give you the exposure your work deserves, but also just to say thank you.

The only thing that's missing here is some notes on Templars carrying on in Spain and Portugal after the Philippe Le Bel affair.

To address your statement about your mission to bridge the gap between indigestible academic and scholarly material, I can confirm that you're doing it quite well. Your work reminds me of the work of Dr Justin Sledge of the YouTube channel ESOTERICA, where he and his team cover mostly religious and esoteric history. Your channel scratches for me the itch for similar content, but for specifically history. Thank you kindly for sharing this with us

Edit: typo

Let's not forget the conspiracy theories surrounding the Order of Christ in Portugal. Established by King Dinis after he refused to persecute the templars in the country, serving as the successor to the disbanded Knights Templar in Portugal. It also played a key role in the Age of Discoveries, and many theories abound around it as well.

Great video overall, I throughly enjoyed it!
