Reading the notes above and below the staves has always been so tricky for me. Literally you have helped me decipher them in around 10 minutes, and it was soooo easy! Thank You!

Thanks so much for this. Sight reading has never been my strong suit. To the point where I just stopped and focused on playing by ear. If someone explained it like this 30ish years ago, who knows where I'd be by now 😭

A lot of interesting patterns we can find on the staff how notes are arranged. When it comes to playing off sheet music, we don't have time to figure out notes or count lines & spaces. Otherwise the music would be rather mechanical and not flow very well.
The best way to learn to read well is to read new pieces all the time. Have to admit many people including myself have a tendency to practice familiar pieces many times and avoid new pieces.

I love your lessons please do not get me wrong but I am not sure how easy this is, I do the many faces of the staff. Starting at the space below the bass cleft that space is an f and the spaces going up are ace. the next line above the just mentioned e is f and the lines are face then line above that e is face and they go up just lile that. in between the faces is the notes of the G chord. starting at the bottom f the next line is g and the lines continue up b and d at the next f the next space about it the g chord fits in again. Going up face and g chord to me is much easier than trying to remember where the egbdf note you demonstrated fits in.
