This is me, everyday. I'm not cold and anti-social. I'm very selective. and Talking to others is often exhausting for me. Specially small talk. My up bringing plays a huge role in this.

I try to avoid socializing as much as possible. I鈥檝e withdrawn from a lot of people I used to know. But I鈥檓 happy in my isolationism.

Constant chatter exhausts me. Conversations turned back to the person I鈥檓 talking to is exhausting. I don鈥檛 feel guilty for not wanting to socialize.

Well, this immediately brings two points to mind, 1) There is only a very small number of people that I talk to or socialize with that are worth even talking to. 2) I no longer own a cell phone.It's a very long story so to make it brief, I found it becoming a gigantic obnoxious pain in the ass with the endless 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year notifications mostly from people I didn't know all wanting my attention endlessly for one reason or another. So I dropped it in a five gallon bucket of water and left it there several years ago. It's still there.

Sometimes we don鈥檛 have a point at socializing because why? It probably won鈥檛 go anywhere anyways and some of us don鈥檛 need more friends to make ourselves busy
