Weird extra questions. Does anyone else have a favorite size spoon or fork they eat with, because it feels right? Anybody else have family that gets mad because you see both sides of something at the same time, so you can never fully agree with one side of anything? You need to know the truth about things, even if it doesn't feel so good? Walking into door jambs because you're thinking all the time? Always trying to find connections or patterns in things. Have trouble being in crowds of people at the same time? Asking for a friend. Have an amazing day.

I don’t dislike people in general. I dislike socializing. But too few people see the difference in those two statements.

You are not overthinking. It's others who underthink.

When I was in elementary school I had a teacher tell my parents that I did the bare minimum, however, I was a straight A student. I was a quiet child and teachers did not know what to do with me. I couldn't graduate from high school soon enough so I could be done with all the high school nonsense and get on with life. In grad school a couple of well meaning fellow students told me that I "needed to learn to play the games" to suck up to the professors. I've learned to not speak when emotional. I'm very calm in a crisis. I've been told to stop asking questions. I can identify an awful person a mile away. I have to walk away from people whose emotions overwhelm me. It takes me a day to recover from a social obligation that I didn't want to do. Boy do I relate.

Tends to happen as we get older, that need to not waste time in ways that are unsatisfying.

ALWAYS CHOOSE TRUTH OVER COMFORT! Denying the truth doesn't change it. And nothing can be dealt with or changed if it is not acknowledged.
