  Most Americans will not accept this. Our educational system has left us with a large group of people who cannot think critically. We are intellectually stunted.

  I was at Duke, dying of gas gangrene, when a group of holy rollers came to my room to pray for God to restore my amputated foot. Over 60 years later there's no indication of regeneration.

  I don’t get how anyone fell for that crap back then. It gets dismantled with a toddlers question. “Why?” It boils down to why didn’t you just make us perfect like you? The only answer is for shits and giggles.

  Everything is a product of it's environment.  This is the primary concern:  'Get them while they're young' is the cry of someone that knows what they are preaching would not be believed by any adult on first hearing.  To paraphrase a nefarious dictator, 'If you repeat your biggest lie often enough it will be believed'.  After all, a bird raised in a cage will think flying is an illness.

  Religion has "Beliefs" that would be rejected outright by any Court of Law and be banned from Scientific discussion, i.e. the "Belief" that "every Human being alive on Earth today is the descendent of just two people, one Man made from dirt, and one Woman made from his rib", that "a talking Snake convinced that Woman to eat Fruit from a magical Tree" and that this ridiculous "event" is "the reason for Human suffering", these "Beliefs" are rejected by History Books and yet it is taught as the foundation of Morality by Religion....

  Mother Teresa said that the suffering of the poor is pleasing to God. So people at her hostels receive minimal care. Someone in pain only receives aspirin, despite stronger meds are at hand, provided by Catholic sources.
