When many of my music heroes died, I felt sad but I didn’t cry. When Brian died, it was different, but I can’t figure out why. He was very special.

Charlie Rose did an exceptional job interviewing Brian. He was especially sensitive and crafted his questions very effectively. He really understood Brian.

David Marks was the kid that provided a youthful image on their album covers that helped propel them to fame. At age 13, to age 15 he played rhythm guitar in the band including Surfin' Safari, Surfin' U.S.A.and their other early big hits. Mostly forgotten, it's nice to see him included again with the band.

I had a friend so proud that they could hear their own scream on a live recording of a beachboys concert, they felt so connected to the music like no band before.
