When Carl passed away at the tender age of 51 back in 1998 the world lost a unique talent and individual. There will never be anyone else like him.

I like Carl's lead guitar playing on that song. He was the Clapton or Hendrix of the group. He was WAAAY underrated as far as guitarists go.

Of all the other surf bands or any other bands out there for that matter the Beach Boys were in a class by themselves.

the sincerity when Brian told us his therapy did get work, i could see some relieved happiness slightly spread over his face because his goal was to make people around him happy to see him kept getting back on track

My favorite bit in this...Brian getting arrested by John Belushi and Dan Akroyd and dragged outta his bed in his robe to go surfing. All I could think was how after all those years in bed did Brian agree to that. He is such a good, unpretentious guy...not made for those times.
