  I had an embarrassing moment at a Walmart recently.  There was a couple wearing matching Zim hoodies in line in front of me. I told them the Irkin Empire will rise again. They just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. I wrang up my purchase and left in silence, feeling like I was being a creep.

  Imo, Minions are closer to Rayman Raving Rabbits than Gir, but I agree that they fit the same comedic niche.

  I have a weird relationship with my previous scene "icons". Every time I see an old shirt with Gir or something on it in my drawer that I inevitably use for the gym now because of how old they are - - - I cringe as suddenly all the old teenage memories come flooding back. THEN every time I see someone else wearing things like that I feel nostalgic instead, which makes me look for the shirt in my drawer, which makes me cringe as I think back to being a teenager, which. . . & so on and so forth until eventually I just grab the plain black shirt and go lift weights. LOL It's both a curse & . . . Mostly just a curse from that era. I like to think things like Gir are "our" skibidi toilet and somewhere in the future there's a kid that's about to get trapped in the same cycle I am.

  I unfortunately wasn’t a scene or emo kid (due to having a uniform policy) but I have grown to appreciate Invader Zim as a show and Gir has grown on me <br><br>I love this video so much

  It is painful to me that I can’t figure out if people who wear GIR merch or have GIR pfps are fellow Invader Zim fans or not. Most of them don’t even know what the show is about, they just know GIR.

  I love this. I was crazy about Gir during my High School and had a good collection of merch. I&apos;m actually surprised you didn&apos;t really talk about or mentioned the one thing everyone knew and wanted when it came to Gir. And that was the Gir Hoodie, it had many different iterations over the years and best part is Hot Topic still sells them!

  I remember Boomer Gir Dads in the &apos;00s, who were a lot like Gen X Minion Moms now. So I think it&apos;s a fair comparison.
