  I would like to give the roofers credit for realizing that the problem is bigger than what they’re able to do and they stopped work immediately

  I'am a retired Inspector from Underwriters Lab. in 28 years I've never found a county or city or fire inspector that was competent!

  I loved watching the new episodes when this was current, as did many of my friends. Now years have passed, and many of the people we came to know on the show have died, or moved on to private obscurity. I miss them all. Glad that Mike is still with us.

  Wished this show was still going. Mike Holmes is a great teacher, learned a lot from his shows when it first came out, did a lot of renovations at home. Learned the right and wrong way and always learned from mistakes and from this show. It's a sad shame that several members of the show have passed away now, they were and still are the best.

  You should visit Pittsburgh, we have a situation just emerging with home garages built by Ryan Homes.  The way they built the garages they have a huge open void under them and the concrete floors are poorly supported and caving in and people are realizing they have a room sided hole underneath what they thought were floors built on ground.  The local news did a story and found that a few people had the cave ins starting and realized all the homes were McMansions built at the same time by the same company and suspect every home has the void underneath.

  Water inside the building envelope unless in pipes is always an issue.  If you any evidence of water in your walls or attic you need to deal with it immediately.  Do not wait.

  Hands up to the roofers, they could had just covered it up, took the money, but they had integrity and honesty. <br><br>But… how is that not structural?<br>Was the house inspected? As in did the inspector even look? Did the inspector do anything?
