Saw this documentary of the Weavers maybe 20, 30 years ago. It inspired me then and it inspires me now even more.

I have a vague memory of seeing this on Armed Forces Network-Berlin in 1984 or so. I’m glad I can watch it again.

my dad saw pete at uni in '49. <br>I saw ronnie gilbert in a samuel becket play in vancouver, canada in '82. She was terrific...

My mother was an old time jazz enthusiast. I'm gay and loved rock. I found the Weavers' album at an American family's house where I baby sat the kids. That was it. I found all of Pete's albums and converted my mother who listened and then demanded we all sing on our family car trips. And finding out Ronnie Gilbert was a lesbian was the icing. I miss them hugely. <br><br>Thanks to the Weavers.
