  Somebody explained why i shouldn't use Warding either and instead go for Menacing, but now that I've seen both videos, I think I will go for Arcane.

  I used to say "I prefer to learn the boss and dodge the attacks" in defense of menancing and lucky, but then I made the incredible discovery that if I survive for longer I can practice more before dying. There is just no excuse to use menancing on a first playthrough.

  It’s funny people say defense is bad, usually Calamity players, when that mod nerfs tank strats literally every patch because it’s too good. I know it’s not vanilla but it’s still funny.

  At the end of the day, Monster Hunter World’s smithy says it best. If you’re dying too fast, upgrade your armor. If you’re taking too long, upgrade your weapon.

  This video is also 100% boss focused, warding does so much in just playing the game. The difference between getting hit by a turtle while trying to build a plantera arena with warding vs menacing is game changing. One is annoying that requires you to stop building and kill it, the other requires walking back from spawn.

  When i play vanilla or modded with a friend, our strategy is:<br>I become an unkillable Tungsten Cube. (With 0 Skill)<br>He becomes a glass cannon.<br>He gets killed multiple times, but i stay alive so the enemy doesn&apos;t despawn.<br>Profit.

  TLDR: Sure, reducing the 300 damage nukes by 28 is not much, but reducing the 70 damage chipping projectiles by 28 has a very substantial impact.

  TLDR: Each point of defense is more valuable than the last, while it is the opposite for damage.
