  I read he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and they were trying to use new medications to get his violent symptoms under control but they couldn’t. &nbsp;He should have been put on a medical hold until symptoms stabilized. &nbsp;My neighbor is schizophrenic and he was extremely violent and his wife couldn’t have him committed. &nbsp;There needs to be better laws regarding mental illness.

  Why would parents take a family member who they know is mentally unstable, so much so they wanted to keep an eye on him, to a party and expect him to act normal? Why not stay home with him? Then get mad at him for not acting normal at the party?

  Parents frequently see the threat and are told by mental health professionals about the threat. However, they frequently minimize it due to emotional connections and not logical thinking.

  They loved him so much they couldn&apos;t see the threat he was. Or saw it and couldn&apos;t let themselves believe it. Or they believed it but didn&apos;t know HOW to just give up on him to protect themselves and society. They were putting all their hope in medicine and time but time ran out. This is nothing but tragic and painful.

  Apparently he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, 18 years of hero, cocaine, pot and meth with a serious mental health issues never ends well

  It is scary dealing with addicts like him, they are easily triggered everyone walks on egg shells. They are so out of touch
