We've been doing scavenger hunt-style activities in cities we've been visiting—either with street art or mini statues like we did here, and even door knockers. Do you do anything similar when you travel? We'd love to hear about it below! ❤—Judy & Kevin

We’ve visited Budapest from the U.S. several times. This is one of your best videos. Did a nice job of capturing much of the essence of a city we love. Lucky that you were there during an important time in Hungary’s history. Well done you two. 👏🇭🇺

2:19 In 1902 Hungary wasn't a small country at all. It was part of Austira-Hungary, one of Europe's superpowers. The Kingdom of Hungary itself was more than three times as large as what remained of it after the first world war.

The parliament building was inspired by the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the British parliament. But built 1 metre longer just to annoy the pesky Brits.

I actually teared up a bit looking at how you enjoyed and interpreted my hometown. Thank you!

This is one of your best city recap videos! Appreciate the time it must have taken to put this together, good job including the history, and always love seeing the food.

What a fun video! I can definitely see why you both decided to move this one up in your queue, what a fun and special time to be in a city with such a rich history! I hope you both are enjoying the unique merging of 3 different cultures that Trieste has to offer, one of our favorite cities we can't wait to return to soon! Happy travels, Joe!

I always Google "weird architecture" for any city I'm going to travel to. I love seeing quirky buildings.

I enjoyed your video too, small corrections but very deep for Hungarians.
The parliament building was built not for a small nation but for one that was 3 times larger in land mass as the land was unjustly taken after world war 1.
Hungary joined Hitler as Allies in the Second World War because Hitler promised he will allow the territories taken from us back. We did retrieve our homeland with no blood shed. On the other hand all the polish jews fled to Hungary for refuge as our government protected them, we baptized more Jews then any nation in Europe only to protect them. Hungary was run down by Hitler forces 4 months before the war ended, Horthy our Nobel leader was exiled to Portugal, and a nazi leader was given authority to take the Jews to concentration camp. Until that moment not a single Jew suffered racial hatred. Till today we are a peace loving friendly nation. I myself have several Jewish friends but I think some important factors of history is unjustly told.

After all, in 1902, Hungary was by no means a small country and was considered a major player on the world stage
