DrPD USB-C is too good to be an open source project, this is unbeliavable.

I've been lucky enough to have been beta testing a couple of the Dr.PD devices for a little while now. This is indispensable when developing a USB-PD device. The team has been very responsive to comments and bug reports. Found some edge case bugs in my USB-PD stack with this and some errant devices from some household names too.

Loving the DrPD project, its basics, its documentation. Ah, the theory of operation - really brings back the old magazines, Heathkit manuals, Tektronix bulletins... That was the way! You learned as you built, you built your knowledge and maybe even a career in electronics starting with the kits. Then came outsourcing, offshoring and abstraction, people just stopped getting their hands dirty making stuff, because if you can buy it or order it from China, why build it... meh. That's why I like the old school makers on YT and elsewhere so much, the people like Sam Battle (LMNC) or Bettina Neumryr who will take an old electronics magazine article, learn from it, re-create the PCB, build it, bring it up and debug it.

I'd absolutely love to have the Audio Circuits Cookbook on my shelf - or do a thorough review video like I did with Open Circuits by TubeTimeUS and Evil Mad Scientist. Geez, brings back my early days in the 2000s when I read the Elliott Sound Products website almost cover to cover and learned lots of audio stuff. 38:37 point to point wiring - thing of beauty, joy for ever, lots of time but very rewarding when it works without hum or interference. I did that a lot, both hi-fi and guitar stuff, haha.

Checked Julia Truchsess out, damn, what a bright engineer she is! Gotta listen to that Amp Hour episode.

Those Sabrent power supplies are really useful...for my routine device charging it does away with all the singular USB blocks/IV monitor devices I used to use. Actually got two of them for the workbench and they work flawlessly.

Those other projects at the bottom of the crowd supply page are from other people. This is their first crowd supply offering (at least under the t76 brand). Not that I am calling anyone suspect, just don't want people being misled by Dave's misinterpretation of the crowd supply page.

PD analysis could be interesting for solder pens or other random things that don't sync nicely...
