I had 4 sons that worked for Forrest Wood on his ranch in Flippin. I’ve rode all over his ranch many times with Forrest in his red pickup. You’re very right about him being a Patriot. In his museum/office there’s pictures of him with so many important people including Presidents.

I asked for a few times about fishing and professional fishing. He mention Hank Parker as one of his favorites. He spoke about your integrity and being a family man. He also told me a story that he’s the one that gave Ray Scott his first Cowboy hat that he famously wears. He wears one just like Forrest. In the hundreds of times I’ve seen Forrest I’ve never seen him without his hat.

Another thing Nina worked that ranch just as hard as anybody.

It is odd to me that for decades the message was to grow the sport and make it a real sport where competitors can earn a good living. Now we are hear and those talking heads are questioning or bad mouth this new class and/or technology.

Love old school rhetoric as well. Old school with power poles, $1,000 rod/reel combos, $200 glide baits, $100k rigs, $85k plus trucks, 5 graphs, etc?????
