  This album feels melancholic now. It felt like a start of something new and liberating in Russia, the future felt bright in the early 2000's. Tatu was super controversial even in the UK back then. Amazing explosive rock pop music that felt like FREEDOM and rocked the world. Even though they were not lesbian (it was their manager's idea), Russia still had quite a few queer musicians in the mainstream, and it makes me sad how much the LGBT are oppressed in Russia now, and it has gotten worse and worse. Anyway, this album is an exciting time capsule of that time.

  Their album &quot;Waste Management&quot; is just wonderful as well. But all their (English) albums are top notch

  You need to listen to the Russian versions of A Simple Motion (Prostye Dvizheniya) &amp; Malchik Gay as they’re completely different to the English versions. Malchik Gay is about a girl being in love with a gay boy. Malchik Gay translation is Gay boy ❤

  t.A.T.u. will be remembered as the only Russian group in their country’s history to achieve such extraordinary international success. What they accomplished feels almost impossible to recreate because of what they did, the historical moment they emerged from, and the sheer iconic status they came to embody. Two tiny girls, barely 1.55 meters tall, who somehow managed to intimidate the whole world. They proved that Russia could stand alongside the US and UK on the international music stage, at a time when the Anglo-American industry practically held a monopoly over global pop. To me, they will be remembered for being brave, innovative, and, above all, for making genuinely great music. Because perhaps that is the part that was never appreciated enough at the time: beneath the controversy, the image, and everything that surrounded them, they were artists. Young artists who made music that was beautiful, distinctive, emotional and, in many ways, ahead of its time. And maybe that is what makes their story so special: they were so young, so small, and yet they managed to leave such an enormous mark on the world. I was lucky enough to meet them four times and to have genuine, personal interactions with them moments that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. In a way, they grew up alongside me. They were part of my youth, part of my musical journey, and in some small way, part of who I became.

  Please review TATU’s album Happy Smiles and Waste management I believe these albums are 10 times better than the most successful one your reviewing here. I am a Huge fan but you have to listen to Sparks, Little People, Don’t regret, White Robe, Running Blind and Snowfalls. These songs show how much they had developed over the time they were together, These albums hardly anyone knows but if you check them out I promise you will like these albums. So underrated but totally amazing pop music.

  Malchik is russian for the word boy so the song is called &apos;gay boy&apos;
