For me, going into Q4, the unanswered question I am watching most CLOSELY with Disney, comes from the world of Marvel and specifically the MCU. I want to how good Doomsday is going to be. Recasting RDJ as a completely different character (on the surface) makes me nervous. It feels like a Hail Mary type of move, where they are just desperate to pull fans back in. I have faith in the Russo Bros though, my 3 favorite MCU movies of all time, were all directed by them. The first trailer did not get me super excited, but the second one did, so its been a see saw ride back and forth. Going into 2027, knowing there is 1 movie, and 1 movie only on the release schedule also scares me. They talk about "must win" games in sports, and for the health of the MCU going forward, I feel like Marvel needs BOTH Doomsday and Secret Wars to not just be wins, but they almost have to be absolute all time monsters wins that both set new box office records while also scoring highly with fans. We shall see! It's going to exciting ride for sure from now until Secret Wars comes out next year.
