  I&apos;d say OP was being very generous in &quot;not doing anything&quot; for his stepchildren.<br><br>Since they told everybody that their stepfather wasn&apos;t doing anything, he did EXACTLY that!<br><br>He didn&apos;t want to make liars out of his stepchildren!!

  I&apos;ve realized from these videos how my siblings my entire life (and I&apos;m in my 70&apos;s now) acted like I was invisible. My sister lately has been trying to guilt trip me into her visiting me though for years the only brother she had was her other brother. But back in 90&apos;s I flew out of town to visit on holidays and bought nice gifts because I enjoy giving. She was not able to reciprocate with much but I didn&apos;t care. Then when my brother stepped back in her life after 3 divorces (his wives didn&apos;t like her) I was no longer the brother that she wanted to see. One Thanksgiving I started realizing how she&apos;d rather be with my brother after we bought the ingredients for dinner and then my brother drove her here and they both left before the dinner was prepared preferring to be with him and his wife instead. So, back in 2019 when I saw her last she was critical of me, my house (though it&apos;s a nice mid-century modern home) and I had enough. So, then COVID happened and I had a great excuse not to have her here since I was vaccinated and she wasn&apos;t. PThen she and her boyfriend met in a town 30 miles from me last year but instead of visiting me she chose to drive home to be with my brother. So, I decided to limit my phone calls and text messages. Now, my brother isn&apos;t available again and she wants to visit me suddenly I&apos;m visible again. She told me she was going to visit on the 3rd I told that doesn&apos;t work for me and left it at that. I learned silence sends a clear message.

  If you didn’t marry a single mom you won’t have any problems like this. The majority of the time stepkids will rebel and say the words “ you’re not my dad you can’t tell me what to do”.

  Actions speak louder than words! &nbsp;Words are brushed off as &quot;just being dramatic.&quot; &nbsp;When actions have an impact, positive or negative, &nbsp;they&apos;re noticed.

  You can&apos;t transfer an account to someone else without their consent. &nbsp;That&apos;s not how phone bills work. &nbsp;The rest of it was good. &nbsp;Nice to see the kids coming around, that was a refreshing take.
