I've been to both Korea and Japan and I like Korea better for sure.  The food, music, culture, and the modern tech!  Korea is THE place to go in Asia.

The coffee cafe culture isn't a recent phenomenon.  It's been big in Korea at least since the 90's.

I was there in May for the first time.  My son lives there as a Headmaster for a private school.  What a wonderful culture, amazing people and quite the food culture.  I would highly recommend anyone to visit there.

The Admiral Lee Soon Shin who protected Chosun from Japan's invasion 430 years ago and the King Sejong who invented Hangeul 580 years ago are still my eternal heroes and lords. Long live my mother country, South Korea!

Definitely 1 of my favorite travel shows and host. Me and wife travel a lot and watching Samantha Brown in different countries gives us more insight on places we thought about or didn't. You're very active and sociable with people from many different backgrounds and ethnicities. Learning their way of life and enjoyment. Keep up the great work!

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGQATCrpygg&t=164">2:44</a> - Slight mistake there. 'Banchan' are the names of the various side dishes that come with most Korean meals :) The name of this meal is 'hanjeongsik'. Plenty more of Korea to explore! Come back soon!
