Dear dude, I dunno if you check comments on your old vids, but I've been watching your stuff for a good while now and it occurs to me that if I was offered the chance to spend a few days with any YouTuber, it would be you. Hands down. I love your vids. You're like a friend who doesn't know me. I dunno. But your spirit and your love of the outside just shines brightly and I love that. My best to ya. Cheers

I’ve done quite a bit of backcountry camping in the last 10-12 years, sometimes solo, other times with two or three of us, but something that I can never seem to get used to is the night noises! There’s ALWAYS something it seems! In Horace Kephart’s iconic “Camping & Woodcraft” published first in 1917, and still in print today, he makes reference to the woods changing when the sun goes down and “the blue devils come out”! If you’ve never seen it before, the book is a very interesting look at “woodcraft”, as they called bushcraft back then, back in the day! Much of the info is still useful, although some parts are downright funny in 2022, like what kind of nails, cast iron skillets etc. should be included in your pack for a trip into the backcountry! Our modern day ultralight backpackers would have a convulsion!

I've had things bump up against our cabin, and it was heavy and powerful. I was afraid it was going to come through the glass doors. I closed the blinds, not that it would have done any good. But it lasted most of the night and scared the hell out of me. We've sold the cabin since. My parents were also frightened by something like it, and decided it was time to stay in the city.

I have an ED and when it's hard for me to eat I watch these videos so we eat together. I know that's probably strange and totally not the point of the video but you help. Thank you.

In New York, that’s a Stromboli. The burnt side looked real good, that was an excellent bushcraft culinary endeavor. Great tarp skills.

You are really brave, if I heard that voice I would have cried and go back to home. I believe that another world exists.

a night-vision camera is definitely a must in the next videos when something is near you and you don't want to distract them with the lights.

Your cinematography of your journey is fantastic, but I can't help but laugh whenever I think about you having to walk back and grab the camera after taking a shot of you far away. Great stuff as always. Keep it up!

I'm 50 years old and I'm still afraid to go into the woods at night!
