  Alwyn, you and your sweet birds inspired me to step up this summer and join a wildlife rescue team. This spring alone I was sent to gather ducks, fallen nestlings, bats, wood pigeons and countless swifts. :-) . I don’t know how to raise them (yet) but they have all been put into good care! ❤

  2 days ago i released a sparrow i saved as a nestling from my attic, she had become separated from her parents and had been chirping in distress for 2 days and nights, I had hoped her mother would find her, but when i got her, she was trapped under the insulation in the roof, so i got her down and fed her untill all her feathers came through and she could fly like an acrobat. she was a sweet little companion but needed her family, she's in her own community now and with luck will live a long life xx
