My kid was there during that time. 10th mountain. He lost a few friends. I'm so grateful he made it home.

My dad was drafted into the Vietnam war. Was awarded the bronze star even. His soul died there. His body came home but as an empty shell. He could have been a great man. There's NO glory in war, and 'tis a fool's endeavor.

My dad is a Vietnam Veteran (MACV-SOG). Good guy, kinda quiet, almost stoic. He got cancer from the agent orange and getting treatment at the VA but he's still going strong. He's a different breed.
