I can&apos;t believe he just layed out the underlying issue of the Middle East conflicts in such a way I&apos;ve been trying to do for years. SEALS, man. They&apos;re so humble too. &quot;I&apos;m not an expert on this&quot; (I know he&apos;s not but he has more knowledge on the region than like 96.7% of people, having had boots on the ground). I want to buy this dude a beer, man. What a guy.

  For anyone interested in what it has been like to live under the thumb of the Burmese military junta, I highly recommend the book Finding George Orwell in Burma by Emma Larkin. It gives incredible insight into how vast their tendrils spread throughout that country, how cruel they’ve been, and a broader theme of how corruption tends to lean towards rewriting history - it being all our jobs to prevent that.

  I’m glad they pointed out that Americans have no sense of history even our own history! &nbsp;Most of the populace doesn’t remember/learn what happened 4yrs ago or even 2yrs ago let alone 50 or 100! Knowing history is the only way to learn and anticipate mistakes in the future before they happen.

  What Ephraim is doing has to be very hard and emotional. He is literally trying to save his wife’s family and people. Watching them struggle through war has to be tough on her and him in turn.
