You've been told you're too sensitive. The science says you're not. Your body can't tell the difference between a negative comment and a punch. Here's the name for it. And the fix. 👉 https://www.patreon.com/posts/157057347

Something else I've noticed is that a lot of this is cultivated, the more you're dismissed, rejected or ignored. The more expectant it becomes, so the more it activates, or is even assumed.
That's pattern recognition for you. And paired with others misunderstanding, scolding, punishment and certain expressions, tones and the like as mentioned, only enhance it. You connect plants with trees or grass, the brain does the same with all this. It's recognized as the same in the attempt to avoid it.

Thank you for sharing this. Ive been struggling with this notion for 20+ years now. I used to blame my disturbed childhood and thought I had covered up the scar tissue well enough but predictive thinking and RSD have been my acheilies heel for too long. Even though I cope with it at times, quite successfully, it just takes one slip up to feel like Ive lost soo much progress. I hope to make the best of this HALT method.

P.s : loving your content so far. You got yourself a Patreon

as someone with RSD, i developed my own technique to coup it. it's similar. always be a neutral judge of your own action. it helps understanding the others positions.

Boy can I relate to this!!! Even at 61 and not knowing I had ADHD until I was 32, I still struggle and need reminding regarding my symptoms and how they still affect me. My hubby too!

This is so not true. I am diagnosed and I have every single symptom and it’s severe. It depends on whether or not the person with adhd has a big ego or not. When I humbled myself, criticism became a tool for self-improvement. I am sensitive though
