Blood pressure is always varies as per your work, stress, emotions, feelings,,,,, but when you rest it will come down. ….. BP readings will vary according to the situation, place, and mental status also.

I am 69 years old, and I walk briskly for about 40 to 50 minutes every morning, fasted. When I check my blood pressure about 45 minutes to one hour after my walk, it is generally in the range of systolic 93-100, and diastolic between 68-75. Later on in the day a random check shows BP in the range of S/122-138, D/75-82.

Thank you Nurse Magda for your detailed BP advice. I have not been treated as I thought I should be as an 81 year old female. I have had Hypercalcemia for almost 2 years with awful symptoms but no official diagnosis as to the exact cause. I have seen a 2nd Endocrinologist as the 1st one could not find a cause. The new Endo felt that the high calcium was due to a medication Co-tenidone and wrote to my GP to take me off it and to replace with a non Thiazide med. Alas, blood work showed no difference with not taking co-tenidone. I had to submit BP twice-daily readings to the surgery for a week at a time and as a result the meds being increased, then decreased (Amlodipine 5mg, Losartan 75mg, Atenelol 50mg. Another week of readings were generally in the range of 143/54. I mentioned to the GP that the lower diastolic figure seemed low but I was told it was difficult as if they increased, the systolic would be way too high. It leaves me feeling in limbo!

I’m 74 and have been on several medications for many Years now. I take two readings per week with a validated cuff at home first thing after a trip to the bathroom and before coffee. I enter the readings on an app from my monitor maker.<br>My 6 Month Average is 121/72 and my 12Month average is 123/76. I am taking 12 readings to my next Drs appointment and would like to get some adjustments to my dosages if not having meds discontinued. I suspect he’ll be resistant but he did decrease the dosage on one of them at my last visit.
