  The Great Lakes only stink if you are on a beach full of dead fish.<br><br>What&apos;s with a coward being a Navy Seal? &nbsp;Most people who apply for that program wash out. &nbsp;Can&apos;t picture a coward ever completing the training to be one.

  In 1964 I was on the Ralph Misener a Great Lakes Iron ore carrier that was self unloading with a huge conveyor structure on the deck. We had unloaded iron ore in Cleveland and headed out. It takes about 8 to 10 hours to secure the conveyor boom. About 5 hours out we hit a huge storm and the conveyor broke loose and was swinging side to side as the ship rolled. I was on the bridge and could see the entire ship twisting. All the crew had survival suits on. We survived and limped into Welland Ontario for repairs. I can&apos;t remember the exact number but the recorded list was over 40 degrees. Lloyd&apos;s of London surveyed the entire ship because it far exceeded the designed list. I will never forget looking at the bow from the bridge and seeing the twisting of the ship.<br>The bridge had a huge ships wheel with a polished brass compass in front of it. The Wheelman actually steered the ship sitting in a cushy chair with a 4 inch joystick. The big wheel worked but it was there to impress visitors.

  Must have missed the moment the Great Lakes changed into salt water...multiple references to the salty wind off the lake reveal a basic ignorance of what fills the Great Lakes.

  I always wonder why a woman would put herself is this kind of situation. She shows up to a function knowing she will be disrespected by her family. Seems her only reason to be there is for public humiliation from her family. Forget that mess..stay inside your own life. You are not required to answer their phone calls, emails or text messages. Ditch them and move on with your life.
