Gaol is what you make it. The last time I walked out the gates at Dilwynia, I swore I'd never go back. That was 2005. <br>Now, 20 years later, I've kept my promise to myself.

I love how they've said make sure every inmate is there and "alive"

I love how they show the fish meal and not the frozen crap you get 90% of the time.

Honestly, one of the worst parts? Sleeping without a blanket.

The governer was brilliantly spoken - that's the attitude we need to have to everyone.

Just finished doing a 5 year stretch in QLD. Trust me when I say Jail is not something to be proud of, such a waste of time and opportunity. If you get done, get in, do your time and get out. Keep your head down, stay out of the “ jail politics”, stay away from the drugs and gangs and don’t get into debt with anyone. Way to pass time constructively, develop a passion for reading, have an exercise routine and get a job inside.

This is a remand prison. The inmates have not been to trial. Please remember that. They have not received a verdict nor a sentence yet. They have been refused bail, for reasons unknown to the public. They should not be viewed as convicted prisoners.
