  This is the exact reason why i refuse to shave my legs most of the time, unless i want to. Im less likely to get approached by men when they aren’t. I know trying to argue and reprimand men to leave me alone is draining is not gonna stop every attempt. But if i make myself less desirable with something as small as that ill take it over being harassed

  Went into this trying to keep an open mind; I wasn&apos;t sure what to expect. That title had me a little nervous. <br><br>I&apos;m glad I did. This was well done.

  would love to hear more on this channel !! this was a deep and well-structured analysis!! really pushed some of my emotional strings thinking about characters’ fates, too. after such stories the need to advocate for humanism becomes evident. <br>also this series really speaks to people who live in restrictive societies. when the value assigned to you by society does not belong to you. i do wonder what is the modern day equivalent to this. the power dynamics and systems may merge and change. we gotta be careful and recognise when our basic rights and agency are taken away. fighting for one’s values was never easy.

  Another brilliant video essay and deep dive. Once again, I am so thankful for you sharing if only to remind me that males can understand female-mental-calculations and circumstances based on societal systems.<br><br>One small detail I would like to add again (perhaps it was omitted because of YT censorship?...or maybe you are just really such a great guy to not have the thought): <br><br>MaoMao&apos;s freckles were not just to dissuade kidnapping (that&apos;s actually one of the potentially lighter sentences). From my point of view being &quot;pulled into an alley&quot; is tantamount to death in the social construct of this society. Whether actually physically killed after being treated as a &quot;night walker&quot; or worse.

  Spoilers for season two <br><br><br><br><br><br>the face powder WAS a plot the medical older girl was the one spreading it around as mao maos dad already told everyone about the poisonous white powder so to get back at the rear palace since the grandfather of jinshi was dead the anger can only be focused at the rear palace instead
