This video hit me right in the heart. Growing up in the 1970s was a different kind of magic — no smartphones, just scraped knees, Saturday cartoons, and real human connection. Kids today may never understand it, but we lived it... and it lives in us still. 🌾📺❤

I entered the 70s when I was 12. There were many different styles and tasts. Most of all, we created our own fun and there was always something to explore. I watched my freinds older siblings go to Woodstock. I grew up more of a rock enthusiast, but I was known to go to discos. So many things to choose from. Most of all we communicated with each other face to face. Sometimes the phone, but there was not much privacy without your family hearing what you said. Oh, I can't forget all the great concernts, and you could sit anywhere you wanted. I saw the Rolling Stones in 1975 and was shocked that it costs 6.00. all other concerts were 5 dollars and "festival" seeting. We sold coke bottles to get our tickets. Or babysat..etc. It didn't cost a fortune to go to a concert.

Manually changing TV channels... with pliers because the knob broke off! This video had me laughing and tearing up. Those little struggles were part of the charm. Thanks for putting this together.

What a beautiful trip down memory lane! This brought back so many sweet memories—from the smell of Saturday morning cartoons to the sound of the ice cream truck echoing through the neighborhood. Kids today will never know the freedom of riding bikes with no helmets or spending hours outside until the streetlights told us it was time to go home. The ’70s really were something special—a time when simple joys meant everything. Thank you for capturing the spirit of a truly unforgettable childhood!

Sheer freedom! We never see kids playing outside anymore. It's just sad.

I remember when they had miniseries, like The Thorn birds.

I grew up in the country. I would disappear into the woods for HOURS. I miss those days 😢

Beautiful stroll down memory lane. So accurate. No better time to be a kid.

This would be like when students in specific education classes would wait for a mini bus in a group from the elementary school grounds in their neighborhood
