I really miss reactions like this—analyzing a song through its lyrics, trying to understand what the artist truly wants to share with the listeners. This is the highest form of praise for an artist: when their work can inspire many people and even make us reflect on our own life journey. Thank you for creating such a meaningful reaction to BTS works, and highest praise to BTS for his beautiful artistry. 💜💜💜💜💜

Your guest had so many interesting comments. I really liked the details pointed out, in particular the other music styles, references to other artists.

Isn’t it amazing how professional musicians can spot those tiny details? Even after hearing the song a million times, I’ve never notice those details.

As someone who's not Army, I really enjoyed this. Very interesting to see this through the eyes of a professional who never came into contact with k-pop before. I'd love to see more of this format

1:33 not even two minutes in and he just recognized the essence of their entire discography. Major props!!! He'd be happy to know their entire school trilogy + dark & wild is the epitome of repping 90s west coast hip hop LOL

BTS has the best handoffs in the business!!!!
The instrument in Black Swan is a gayageum. Like a zither can sound like a violin or a cello, 12 strings or more. BTS loves to use traditional instruments and sounds in their songs.
This video was wonderful. Your guest really knows his stuff. I can't wait for more 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻

Just remember, Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance, were all part of their attempt to cheer up the world (and themselves) during the COVID lock downs. I don't know of anyone that truly enjoyed that time period.

This was fun. Thanks to you both for the deep dive into the production. - As a musician, I love listening to a BTS song (happens a lot w/headphones) and hearing something I've NEVER noticed before even though I've heard the song a thousand times. Also, BTS is the most diverse group in history in my opinion. So I think Jack will be surprised if/when he checks out more. Also, EVERYONE involved in the organization brings their A-game BUT somehow it all feels organic as well. - Have fun on your K-pop journey.
