  For me, the moment I realized how stupid Chris Gore is when he did a discussion about the Wicked movie. He said he loved the original Broadway show, and when he heard they cast Cynthia Erivo, he complained &quot;They&apos;re going to make this about race&quot;. The musical&apos;s about a woman being demonized for the colour of her skin and has a subplot about talking animals being persecuted by the government. The commentary&apos;s so obvious, and yet that somehow went over Chris&apos; head. (In the video, Chris actually thinks the musical&apos;s about struggling to fit in at school.)

  the &apos;99% of modern movies suck&apos; complaint is funny because I&apos;ve been hearing it since the 1980&apos;s. &nbsp;The era now being used as the example of how, back in the day, all movies were great.

  Chris Gore was one of those figures who constantly appears on the periphery of my studies, but I actually didn&apos;t realize his long history in the film space. But seeing him struggle to understand Andor is....soul-draining. How can you claim to be the founder of a punk rock film criticism publication yet fail to understand Andor for pushing against the status quo.<br><br>EDIT: The Funeral for a Franchise stream is the single most embarrassing thing grown-ass men have ever done.

  Fun fact: The creator of the Eltingville Club stopped pursuing his comic to be adapted into the cartoon because fandoms in the 21st century had gotten more toxic than he imagined.
