  That part with the staircase genuinely creeped me out. The fact that you could hear a whole family talking at the top, then something invisible actually started coming down the stairs… nope. And that ending with “his” voice outside the cabin was just brutal. 😳

  Shout-out of appreciation that this wasn't just wendigo / skinwalker stuff, I listen to a lot of channels like this and the total lack of creativity in 95% of scary nature stories is frustrating. So, thanks for being good!

  I was born in SE Ohio, Appalachian Plateau, and I have an eerie memory from there. When I was about four, my bed was up against one of the two walls with a window. I was laying in bed one night, the old roller style &nbsp;of blinds from the 80&apos;s all the way up, and I heard something outside. It was a soft noise, I don&apos;t &nbsp;even remember what it sounded like, maybe some sort of shifting. Not sure. But I looked up from my pillow, and in the corner, I saw a pair of slanted, yellow eyes. I was too terrified to move, and after about five minutes of staring into those unblinking eyes, I just closed my eyes, praying the Lord&apos;s prayer and Hail Mary I learned in Sunday school a few months prior. After a few minutes, I very slightly opened my eyes, and the eyes were gone.<br><br>The next morning, I told my mom, and she said it was an owl, and don&apos;t worry about it. But it wasn&apos;t perched on the gutter. It was hovering underneath it, and there was kind of this black void around the eyes, that our porch light couldn&apos;t light up. It wasn&apos;t supported by anything, it was just hovering there. <br><br>I think this might contribute to why I ALWAYS have to have blinds/curtains closed when it&apos;s dark out, and I hate looking out windows at night. I haven&apos;t &nbsp;thought about looking into what it might have been, until now. But maybe I subconsciously don&apos;t want to know. Appalachia be weird, y&apos;all.

  I can understand people going missing in the woods and remains not being found . Animal predation , decomposition and leaves covering the body would make it difficult to find someone after a few months . What I don&apos;t understand is why all the gear isn&apos;t found .
