  Thanks for this video, and I have to tell you something. I’ve been on the road for a while and thought I had my spending under control. After using the manual, I cut roughly $500 to $800 off my monthly costs. I’m way less stressed about money now, so thank you for putting this together.

  My wife passed away on April 6, 2026. We were together for 54 years and we’re over the road truck drivers. She drove with me for 33 years and I drove 47 years total. I had over 6 1/2 million miles no accidents and she had 33 years and 2 1/2 million miles with no accident. So now I’m a nomad. I sold my house to a family member and moved into my 2012 Chevy traverse and started a YouTube channel for my family and friends so the road is no stranger to me but this lifestyle is new. After one month I’m doing well and now I’m in Monticello Utah in the mountain and I’m gonna work my way to Q town be there in November and stay until February I guess and hopefully hook up with the crowd going to Alaska.   Open free space in the desert a lot of poop dumping which is actually fertilizer for the desert plants but how many of these can people will dump it several yards from where everyone is parked with rattlesnakes  and scorpions and deadly spiders ect.  You don’t want a hot engine at night making a warm spot for rattlesnakes to curl up under then bite your ankles in the morning when you step out of your van. Yes they crawl under neath and wrap around wheel wells and tail pipes. You’re in their   environment move your van to completely out of parking spot in the morning checking for snakes. At rest areas in Arizona sand is raked in a swirl outside restroom building if the lines are broken you know a snake is in the area they also get inside bathroom up on a high ledge or around base of toilet  enter slowly looking above you and under stalls and any ledges. I was told to do this by rest area workers. The swirling in the sand can be done before you go to bed with a rake or broom. Survivor of a poisonous snake bite.

  I work in Colorado right outside of Boulder and I can say this the rules on the books for vehicle dwelling compared to enforcement ate far different than you would expect, BCSO is quite empathetic towards vehicle dwellers and mostly turn a blind eye unless you are a problem

  My wife and I are getting up there in years. And due to a back injury at work. I ended up having to retire earlier than planned. But we were able to build (what we call a tiny home on wheels) a self contained trailer that we now live in. It&apos;s better equipped than most travel trailers. In as much, as it has better insulation, heating that keeps it toasty in a Wyoming winter, and air conditioning that keeps it cool in a Arizona desert summer. Has hot and cold running water. Wet bath with shower and cassette toilet (making it convenient to empty in approved dump sites). 4,000 watts Solar and 500 watts from our wind turbine, plus a 4,000 watt (back up) gen-set. It&apos;s got higher ground clearance than any other trailer we&apos;ve seen. Making it great for off-road travel. It&apos;s only 16&apos; long. And does get a little tight sometimes. So we&apos;ve decided to build a second trailer the same size that will mainly have a two major assets. A sort of living area where we can have company (basically two facing sofa&apos;s) and a hobby space for my wife. As well as extra storage space. We currently have two four wheel drive SUV&apos;s as tow vehicles. &nbsp;And an electric bike, and electric tricycle. We moved down here to Arizona from eastern Oregon a few years ago. And have traveled extensively around Arizona , and some in Utah, and Wyoming. We love the freedom. And the people we&apos;ve met during our travels.<br><br> &nbsp; &nbsp; Bo Johnson

  I live in Oregon. Lots that allow free overnight parking are mostly overrun by long term homeless. Lots of druggies.
