Canceling the debt doesn’t include issuing a new loan.

'You're under no obligation to trust someone who has proven themselves untrustworthy'. Thank you Lord.

Sometimes there is more Biblical wisdom on these YouTube videos than what comes from the pulpit! 😳

Forgiveness is a given for all believers but trust is earned, period.

Forgiveness and Trust are not the same.

Joseph s story is actually the best example. Forgave the brothers long time but had to seriously test them before opening up and reconciling. They passed the test and proved they had changed their ways.

The one thing that stood out to me was the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. This has truly freed me. I always carried guilt for not allowing the person back in my life after their injury to me. I knew I'd forgiven, but trust had been broken. Thank you for this teaching.

The problem with reconciliation in a toxic family is that you have to play the old role they bestowed upon you that you had already your whole life living with them. But in the first place that is exactly the reason why it came to disagrements, fights and injuries. They do not accept you for who you are therefore you have to play to keep the peace. If you cannot do this anymore (and no one with integrity and sanity would expect this from you) then you have to let go (forgive) but turn away and go your own way.<br>This is the reality. This is the only way to keep your sanity and it took me 40 years to unterstand this.

Forgiveness does not mean the person committing the illegal act does not face the legal consequences for their actions.

“Sometimes the relationship is unhealthy and needed to break” I walked away from an unhealthy relationship with siblings. The toxic one is not a believer and the unforgiving nature is epic. Bitterness and vengeance is present everywhere. I have no ill will towards them and pray for their salvation. This video wonderfully explains that I am wise to protect my heart and my sanity. Thank you

The fact that forgiveness is not restitution. I'm ok with forgiving. But the fact that I don't have to let people back in when they show no signs of changing is comforting. Thank you
