A segment in the Served podcast about reacting to viewers comments should evidently be called Returned.

There are so many other variables in professional tennis that are unparalleled that make it so challenging e.g. endlessly flying around the world for a new tournament every other week, adapting to different climates and time zones, navigating inconsistent routines and sleeping patterns, transitioning to new surfaces (hard court, clay, grass), it is utterly insane.

Love how passionate Andy always seems to be in conversation. Always in the moment.

Tennis is without a doubt one of the most physically challenging sports out there. As well as mentally if you’re playing competitively. I agree 100% with Andy. That’s why everyone plays pickleball. It’s like experiencing some of the thrill of tennis without having to cross the physical plateaus of the greatest racquet sport.

I think Andy's definition of the 'best' athlete comes down to this: If there was a competition where athletes had to compete in every sport in the world, he argues that tennis players would perform the best. While I'm not sure if that's true, I'd bet tennis players would rank near the top.

I haven't seen curling thrown in the mix yet. These folks are killing it on the ice for hours.

I feel like no one talks about coordination and balance. Like Andy said, you give an nba or nfl guy a racquet and they look like uncoordinated toddlers. Every tennis player seems to be able to juggle a soccer ball or do impressive hand eye coordination drills flawlessly (on top of sprints, split steps, changing directions constantly) Athleticism is so much more than being big, strong and fast.

I've played tennis for nearly 30 years. No argument it is hard. But I've seen people get decently good in 2 years.

However, I did one beginner clinic of boxing and I was bent over nauseous, ready to vomit. And I didn't even take any contact to the head. The athleticism needed for that sport is next level. Can't imagine what MMA would require.

Wasn't there an ABC show back in the day called Superstars where sportspeople from all backgrounds could compete in a decathlon style show, competing in everything except the sport they were known for? Surely we need something like this again...

I'm a hockey player, the argument against hockey is the team sport aspect. You can be a sub par athlete but be a huge factor on the ice with good positioning and thinking ahead of the play. There is no where to hide on the tennis court.

However, hockey goaltenders are playing nearly an individual game, there is no where to hide when that puck gets through to you. The mental side of being a goalie is a lot like tennis, that's why they are know to weird. Plus, their athleticism is insane from a mix of strength, flexibility, hand eye, and endurance.

I agree, but although 3:20 is a good marathon time, it's 20 minutes slower than a good women's club-level time in the UK.
